Coron Palawan Philippines - One of the best place to visit.

Coron Palawan Philippines

The Philippines have many beautiful Islands and Islets but Coron islands is just an amazing place to go. What a fantastic place to visit. Very beautiful archipelago for island hopping and to spend your day with in an isolated islets sorrounded by limestones with tiny white sandy beaches. Crystal blue water, swimming with the beautiful colorful fishes or feeding them. Climbing to the Big lagoons and lakes in the middle of the mountains of limestones. The Coron City is not that clean but its okay.

To reach the Island.

We traveled from Tagbilaran City - Manila - Coron with Zess Air to Manila and Cebu Pacific to Coron.

By changing flights we could save money instead of buying Cebu Pacific packages deal since it was the only airline flying to Coron directly. Although it was couple of hours waiting time for the connections flights but there are thing to see at the new Airport.

Coron Airport is small and surrounded by mountains. Out side the Airport there are private transportations will bring you to your places to stay. Much better if you pre-arranged it with your resort or hotel. They have a uniform prices if with in only Coron cost for P150 /person. Do not expect that you or your group alone in the Van but they will accommodate others to fill up the Van too. I think we were like 11 persons plus luggages. There is a public jepney too but count it longer to reach your final destination. The road is not that bad, some parts is still rough and some part is good.

The first night we stayed at the Mt. Tapyas Hotel

Well I don't think so I would recommend this place really for your stay. Unfortunately very uncomfortable to stay and the service is very low. One night was enough for this hotel then we moved out to Cocosnut Resort. The only better place to stay in town. The rate is quite high for a low maintenance resort.

2nd Day activities: Island Hopping

We rented a private boat for our group, bought our foods and drinks to cook on the island for our lunch. The boatman who had took cared of the cooking. Our menu was: grilled shrimps, squid, fish & chicken. A case of cold beers as well. Some delicious tropical fruits for our dessert. They did the cooking on the boat.

Day Stops:

The Kayangan Lake ( a must to go)
