El Nido Palawan

                                              "One of the most beautiful place on earth EL NIDO"

The last time we were here was on the year 2004. That was one of our best  trips on the Philippines. Since then I am always longing to come back. I miss the beautiful beauty of  El Nido. Yes we did it again! This time we were travelling with our little 2 years old daughter. We are also travelling with some of our friends from Sweden.
Everyone are so excited about our trip to El Nido. They heard so much good news about Palawan of how famous and beautiful it is.
As travelling with a child was unlike before we were backpacking, but now it should be more organize and well plan from Air to land transportations. From vaccins and other important emergency medicins kit for our child. Specially against mosquitos.  Everything went good about this things.

We took  Cebu Pacific Air via Cebu directly to Puerto Princessa. There are also a direct flight to El Nido from Manila via small 19 sitters airplane but quite costly. (You can search it through the internet for more info) From Puerto Princessa we hired a private Van to El Nido. It cost for us 5,500pesos. I think it was a good price for 6 persons. The trip lasted 5 hours drive. The roads are nice and not bumpy anymore, only on a very last part of the trip there was a road constructions going on. But otherwise the road is very well ok compared the last time we're there. In between of our trip we have to stop for dinner somewhere on the way to El Nido. Though nothing for us because the foods are cold but our driver has to eat so he could survived the long driving. We stop for 1 hour taking a rest and do some stretching.  Bought some cold drinks and snacks.

It was 22:00 pm when we reach El Nido. Upon entering to the town we been destructed by all these modern lights everywhere, big buildings, many tricykles, people everywhere. Wow! I almost don't recognized that I been to this place before. What a big changes; I was very excited and looking forward to see the very romantic place, I'd been before! Which was by that time; at 12 midnight there was nomore electricity. You can only hear the roaring sound of the waves that crashing along the rocks and beaches. Now its noisy and pretty much crowded already. Anyway, I am just reminiscing the old times. Saying says " Nothing is the same at the second time around" it's true . The best is not to come back so you will enjoy the best memories you have ( my openion). Our trip to El Nido was pretty good we got the good driver in town. He drove us very good and safely. Sadly I forget his name. He was arranged by the Rico's Cottages staff.

The last time we've been here. We're staying at Ricos Cottages, so we decided to stay on the same place again because it has the best view of the ocean you can get. They have good room price and so familiar. The staff are nice and friendly too. But that was my only best memories. Unfortunately this time everything was so lousy inside the room. I don't want to say more, but we move to another place the following day. We stayed at Rosanas place it was nicer and cheaper than Rico's and the room is much comfortable.

Island hopping - out to the wonderful archipelago and explore . A very recommended boatman his name is Omar . Very nice guy. They prepared our foods at the tiny white beach just beside the most expensive resort on Palawan the Amanpolo. The food are all grilled seafoods ofcourse and fruits. It was a lovely day.

Opposite side of El Nido Beach few minutes drive from proper town to escape trafic and noise. Here people relaxing, swimming and eating. Why not try the Zipline too? It has beautifil sunset view also.

Here there is bar and some small cottages for rent. Cold and hot drinks available. On the other tip of the island there is a new resort. Infront of this island is overlooking to Las Cabanas Beach.

El Nido is very recommended place to visit on the Philippines.
